1. Service

VerifyVIN provides vehicle identification and history data aggregated from third-party sources. Data is provided "as-is" and should be used as one input into a purchase decision, not as the sole basis for it.

2. Not affiliated with DVLA or HPI

VerifyVIN is an independent service. We are not the DVLA, HPI, or any UK government agency. Coverage of stolen and finance data varies by market and by vehicle age.

3. Payment & Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by Polar Software Inc. ("Polar.sh"), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Polar handles billing, tax collection, chargebacks, and appears on your card statement. By purchasing you agree to Polar's Terms in addition to ours.

4. Delivery of digital goods

Reports are delivered instantly to your browser after successful payment, and a link is emailed to the address on your Polar receipt. Report bundles are credited to your account immediately and can be redeemed at any time from the lookup page. There is no physical shipment.

5. Acceptable use

Use of VerifyVIN is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. Automated scraping, resale of raw data, and use for stalking or harassment are prohibited.

6. Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific report in question. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
